Selecting the directional light in a 3D image.
You can change the directional light into a spot light by clicking the Spot Light button. You can
adjust the color of the light by clicking the Color swatch and choosing a color from the pop-up
color picker. To have the spot light shine on a smaller area, we moved it back by giving it a larger
number in the Z value of the Position tab of the Transform palette. We set it to 23. And to see the
effect, we set the Range value to 25. And we moved the light off the image by setting the X value in
the Transform palette to -26.
To animate the light, you can click the Create New Timeline button, click the Record Keyframe
button, move the Playhead to whatever you want, maybe 3 seconds, change the X value in the
Transform palette to 26, move the playhead another 3 seconds, and change the X value back to
-26. Then, to loop the animation, expand the Objects list until you can select the OffsetX property,
right-click, and in the pop-up menu that appears, choose Edit Repeat Count; then click the Loop
Forever button and click OK.
Animating the camera
Every 3D object contains a camera in the Viewport3D. This camera can be selected and moved,
rotated, and zoomed in and out. If you move the camera closer to the 3D object, the object appears
larger in the Viewport3D.
