Carry Spares
I never go anywhere without a spare set of batteries in my camera case. I don??™t need to tell
you how frustrating it can be to run out of energy in the middle of Yellowstone National
Park. If you can fit it, I also suggest bringing a charger with you so you can charge your
batteries as needed. For AA batteries, I am particularly fond of slim-line chargers like the
one shown here, since it takes up so little space and can be used to hold a second set of
batteries without consuming any more precious space in your camera bag:
